Surviving child of a naval petty officer. The funeral was heart wrenching.

The portrait really reflects the heart wrenching mood. I don't know that girl but I can feel her pain. Indescribable.

As father and a veteran, this really moves me. Wonderful photo capturing the emotion of the ordeal.

My Dad is 88 years old and came to live with us last October. He is always looking for things to do to ”help out” around the house. I work an overnight shift and sleep during the day. Woke up yesterday afternoon to find him sitting in his walker and shoveling the 10-12 inches of snow we got overnight off of the deck.

Not a great or particularly well composed picture, but he is about as willing to get his picture taken as my wife and dog so I have to sneak a shot when I can.

A strong picture, Wayne....but he shouldn't be doing that kind of stuff. Hell, that's hard work for a younger guy.
