One of my first. I think it was 10 or so images all hand blended. Not so impressive viewed small but the original is over 13k pixels wide. (Link to original (external link))

I think that my favourtie one is the one I posted on the 'Short Video' forum. It's of the Pyrenees taken just up the road from where I used to live in France. I will post it on here too if that is allowed. It's on my flickr page so it won't take forum space and if it isn't allowed then would the mods please let me know?

At the 45 second mark Carcassonne is in the middle of the shot. That really is an impressive place and much visited by us in our 13 years near there.

These are slightly different to the ones I have seen here? They are of 2 murals on the opposite walls of a small room on the top floor in the Chateau du Malves en Minervoir, the village where I used to live. The story behind them is that they were painted about 200 to 250 years ago by a woman who was imprisoned there for 2 years. Nobody seems to know the reason for the imprisonment? The pictures were found when some of the plaster that was covering them came off of the wall. The top one is about 15' long by 4' high. Tghe bottom one is about 6' long by about 5' high The detail in them is incredible and because they were covered for so long the colours are still quite vivid.

The top is 7 (I think) shots wide and the bottom 4 wide and they are stitched together using PSE13 photomerge. The room is about 8 or 9 foot wide hence the numerous shots for the wider one.

It appears each were done by different people, based off the art styles of each photo. Amazing and worth seeing.

As far as anyone knows GUG, there was only one person locked up in that room. But the history is quite vaigue. I may well start a thread on the chateau because when the Mairie decided to do some restoration investigation they had the surprise of finding that the ceiling beams had been painted with dozens of small paintings and covered over as the fashions changed. That has treserved them so very well.
