It charges via usb-c to usb-a cable so if you have a charging brick you can charge it

Thanks Eddie, I did try to google the answer but it was never clear.

One thing annoying about the Osmo Pocket though is the lack of accessories released still. The extension rod/selfie stick was meant to come out end of Jan and still no word. I was hoping to have it for my trip next week too

The actual camera itself is great. My girlfriend is using it while she's traveling and says is her favorite camera now haha

Do you shoot in AV/TV as well or M?

I only shoot manual when I’m using a manual lens. Otherwise it’s 99.99999% AV. Never TV.

Blue hour over a field of mud cracks. The sky had a nice warm glow in the distance but sunrise was a bust due to no clouds. Still, the patterns in the mud tiles were interesting enough to capture.

Might be my favorite of the series so far....love the gigantic expanse captured. Colors,tones,leading lines....everything is there.

Awesome sense of space in this one. I agree with Robert on this might be my favorite too. Not because it’s more beautiful than your others, but this one feels exhilarating to me as it transports me to that place; all alone in that awesome place of great starkness and immensity.

Quite interesting the majority here use AV. I've been experimenting today with entire screen average so once I edit the shots I'll see how it goes in post.

Someone wants to trade my 1635F4 for the tammy 28-75mm F2.8. you think its a good deal? might be good for my occasional BD events.

For me personally I was always setting the aperture first depending on the scene and I would have it on auto iso so the only thing to set manually was the shutter speed. It seemed like an unnecessary thing to waste time on and since my primary subject these days are my kids I would often lose shots in the time it takes to set the shutter speed as they don’t stay still for long. AV was a no brainer for me.

However when I shot canon I hardly ever shot people so I would use full manual as I had the time to make the setting changes.

Shooting mostly BIF I live in the M mode 99% of the time, with auto-ISO.....so not completely manual.
I've also gotten quick no matter which camera system and dialing up or down exp. compensation.
I'm glad Sony and Sony made sensors (Nikon D500/850) can give me quite a bit of lattitude for the compensation in post.

I don't think I've ever....if so longer back than I can remember....shot Av, heck, I can't even remember when shooting Tv either.

Definitely seems like AV works best for you and that's what counts! On Canon I would often set the exposure in Live View then switch back over to take the actual shot. This was a huge reason why I wanted a mirrorless cameras, I wanted that EVF to save me the hassle.

I know TV always seems to be less used compared to AV but I know it does have it's uses, like if you wanted to drag the shutter to show motion.

Thank you David! I'm happy the image struck a chord with you. I look at it now and it does take me back to the experience of being there.

Yeah, after college I went to Colorado for ~10 years of ski/kayak bumming. I worked a 4pm-12am shift at a grocery store. I skied/snowboarded/kaya​ked dang near every day! 13 years ago while riding big powder in very tight trees at a small ski area in west central Idaho I had an unfortunate rider vs tree accident. The tree won and I left in an ambulance. I spent a week in the hospital with 7 broken ribs, hemo/pneumothorax, chest tube, fractured speen, kidney laceration, and fractured pelvis. It sucked! Needless to day I was out for the season. I had been planning to make the transition back to skiing. So the next year I bought some skis and hadn't been on a snowboard since....until yesterday. It was pretty fun, especially cause we have great conditions right now. But, outside of riding powder I'd argue that skiing is on the whole more fun and certainly more efficient for touring around the whole mountain. I think I'll likely stick with skiing for at least 95% of my days on the hill.
