Here is my sweetheart again. Came into my studio and complained a lot about my absence; I was in Houston on the weekend. I cuddled him, shot some pictures and as i was processing them he made a nest on my bed!
He frequently lifts one paw :)
And here is his injured nose...poor thing.

Is his nose injury a new thing? :-( You said before this cat has an "owner", do they care for him at all?

I think the injury is new. Yes, he has an owner who told me that he is so independent that she can't keep him indoors or even take him to a vet. She can't even pick him up but he lets me do it and loves cuddles and talking much to my delight :)

The injury looks like just a bit of hair scraped of his nose, nor penetrating the skin. Just something which can occur with every cat. Maybe a fight or he puts his nose where it did't belong. Should heal fine without any (veterinary) assistance.

I think you're right on the part where he put his nose where it didn't belong. The scraped off hair has a remarkably square shape. I think a fence may have been responsible for it. I'm also glad that he doesn't need a vet. Very reassuring. Thank you.

Dane, that's a gorgeous shot of your cat! And you were so lucky to get it. My visitor moves so fast that I can barely get a decent shot.

Beautiful cat, lovely photo.

Bit like my Max from another era. Turkish Van.
Is that what yours is?

Thank you. Bob doesn't move around too much this time of year, although he did set a new precedent this evening....! He wen't out in the snow for about 10 minutes. There's only about an inch out there, but he went.
I still can't believe it, lol.

Thanks. To be honest, I have no idea what kind of cat he is. He just showed up at my parents house one day about 6 years ago and never left. He was about 6 weeks old at the time, had a chewed up ear and some scratches.
I moved back in with my parents over the summer because my mother was sick. She passed several months ago but I'm still there helping out with things. One of those things is Bob the cat, since it was my mother that took care of him.

Now he comes and sits in my lap every evening for an hour or so while I sit at my desk.

Oh, so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. My sympathy.

What a lovely picture of her and Bob. Thanks for sharing.

Sorrow for your loss. Never easy times, bringing new challenges.
A real lap cat, bringing comfort in all situations.

All the best with the help and the transitions this brings.

I've been feeding the neighborhood strays and look what I found helping him/herself to a free meal. Sorry for the lousy quality but it was shot through a dirty storm window and a dirty screen. :p
