This is a stellar shot, Sid...very sharp, and beautifully composed.

Beautifully colored bird. Excellent shot, Sid.

Thanks for being so eternally enthusiastic and complimentary Mike, though quite how your comment appears before my picture is a bit of a mystery! Have you a new crystal ball?

Awesome!

I can see the fish is flopping as hard as it can to escape, but the jaws of the mighty cormorant have a vice-like grip on the unfortunate captive. I suspect another bandit will soon enter the may-lay, and this wild west fracas could go on for many more episodes. Once again, the photography is supreme.

These are really nicely presented again.
Loving the action and the photography.

You keep company with some pretty villainous creatures :p

Thank you very much, AP, Mike and Richard!

The thief continued to struggle with the big fish:

Great Thrush (Turdus fuscater). Uncomplimentary genus name, but a pretty bird.

Nice one Archibald. Tough genus name to have to carry around all it's life. :p

Nice shots, Ken. I don't think I've ever seen a coot in the snow before.

And on a post. I caught one on a post one time. Normally ALWAYS on the ground. Nice one Robert.

I've never seen one anywhere but on the ground. I was surprised at Robert's shot.
