"...lost cameras.." --- :-P :p

Thank you Travis. Wow, I didn't realize the two coyotes were killed. Any idea how it happened? :-(

Hehe...sorry I couldn't resist...

They were hit by cars.

Hope those of you with a sense of humor have been enjoying the Camera Conspiracies channel on YT like I have. I just now finished laughing my way through his latest thoughts on the rumored Canon EOS RP. Funniest camera gear channel period.

I checked him out. Eh, he's alright. Fro is more my brand of idiocy.

Don't forget you need to have the latest version of Windows 10 or the latest Apple OS for it to work.

I love that his whole channel is based on the serf-serving desire for the perfect vlogging camera. It is such a tiny little niche-market thing, but he's hilarious to watch.

The family took a Pink Jeep Tour while we were in Sedona, and it was a really good experience for all.

Although my five-year-old wants to live out there now, and drive jeeps in the mountains all day.

Gorgeous part of the world there. That first shot is great.

Your post reflects my lens ambitions for 2019...I’m looking forward to adding the 24GM to shoot in concert with my new FE 50 1.4 ZA.

Thank you for the props, David. Much like Colorado, I can see how people pick up and leave their lives to move out there. The natural beauty is humbling.

As for your lens aspirations, I am convinced you could outshoot most photographers with kit lenses, but i’ll Never forget your work with Otis glass years back. It seems like the 24GM and FE 50ZA will be a natural fit for you.

That really nice of you to say. Although the FE 50 ZA comes up short on color and supremely awesome bokeh, I’m still hoping that it’s going to fill that gaping hole in my heart since I sold the Otus. I’ll never regret buying or selling that lens, but I really want to get back to shooting again.

I've always been very pleased with my Batis FE 25 f2 lens.

This is a 5 exposure HDR image from the local RR Museum I shot on my a7rII + Batis 25/f2 lens. Ev seperation was 2 stops between each exposure. I used an aperture value of f5.6 for this bracketed series of exposures.

Hmm...I'm not sure if the problem is with Flickr/smugmug or the forum, but it keeps claiming my image is 2048 on the long side instead of 1600.

Here's a direct upload.

Thank you.

File import as stack.
click the second image from the bottom
set blend mode to lighten
right click layer and copy layer style
click next layer above and then shift click the top layer to hightlight them all (apart from the bottom 2)
right click highlighted layers and paste layer style
Boom, finished.
I took mine back to Lightroom for a little bit of editing, very little on this one and actually dropped the clarity as it smoothed it out a litte.
Job done :)

I don't have - "File > Import as Stack" :-(

But I do have "File > Scripts > Load Files into Stack"

My latest lens acquisition ideas/goals:

CV 10mm, 15mm, 21mm, 40mm, 65mm, and 110mm

24GM, 50ZA, 135GM

This scheme contemplates selling my Loxia 21 and 35 in favor of an all-CV kit. They perform similarly to the Loxias, but I vastly prefer the handling and design of the CV lenses. Also, having both CV and Loxias gets confusing as the focus ring and aperture rings are reversed.

I want the CV 10 again because I love how crazy wide it is. I need the CV 15 as a more generally usable ultra-wide angle. Do I really really need the 10mm and 12mm and 15mm? Yes Yes Yes: for 100% ridiculously emotional reasons. :p Seriously though, I’d use them all.

I’m tempted to add more cv glass myself David. Probably the 12 on the wide end and was initially thinking the 65 on the other. However I wondered if 65 was too close to 40 and the lox 85 might be better. That would give me cv12, cv15, lox21, cv40, lox85. Af kit would be 24GM, rx1rii and Batis 85 (still need to swap out my Batis for the 24GM). This is all long term planning though as I’m in no rush to do any of that
