This is the weather here for the next few days. Looks like wet weather will continue for a while. Thursday is looking like almost 2 inches of rain is expected.

I updated my Windows 10 to 1809 today too. So far, so good. As for the Enhanced Details, at least for the raw files I've tried it on, the enhancement is minuscule.

Mine won't update..

I'm really liking the rendering of the 50ZA ...suits me very well I think. Bokeh might not be ideal for organic stuff (leafy backgrounds), but I really like it with structured/manmade backgrounds.

This was shot through a store window, so there's just a bit of weird reflections going on, but otherwise I like how this pops. Also this is nowhere near as immaculate as the Otus - still had to clean up a little fringing, but mostly it's clean.

The family took a Pink Jeep Tour while we were in Sedona, and it was a really good experience for all.

Although my five-year-old wants to live out there now, and drive jeeps in the mountains all day.

Finally got one of these guys.

I never thought I would find a white squirrel in the panhandle of FL, but apparently there is a pocket of them here in Tallahassee.

Blue Hour at Manly Beacon

I like many others I am sure, assumed that Zabriskie Point was the large formation jutting up into the air that is the main feature at this overlook/area...and that is not the case. That feature is actually called Manly Beacon, Zabriskie Point is the overlook spot where you walk up to...

I was very close to getting this lens last week. It was on sale for $800 AUD with $200 off but couldn't bring myself to buy it either. I've read a lot of reports of AF issues and the lens completely freezing with the FE version.

The Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 is on special here too for $1700 AUD. I did enjoy using this lens at that Sony event but I know the QC issues make it a no go.

That 35mm f/1.8 G from Sony is needed more than anything. Hopefully the announcements end of this month will include it....

Beautiful shot, it has a real 3D pop to it.

Thank you both! I keep looking at 24GM shots on Flickr and see 3D pop in a lot of those shots as well, so I’m getting enthused at the prospect of using them as a pair.

Thank you both! I keep looking at 24GM shots on Flickr and see 3D pop in a lot of those shots as well, so I’m getting pretty excited at the notion of using them as a pair.

I been obsessing over the 24mm GM still and from what I can tell in images, you can get a good pop with that lens as you say but I feel like compared to a 35mm f/1.4, you will get less distortion if you get up real close.

In terms of lens design, I wonder if it would be possible for a 35mm f/1.4 GM to be smaller than current lenses.

It is, and the food scene is quite good to boot.

Make sure you shoot Maclay Garden if you do come, as it should still be in bloom through the rest of the month.
