Stunning, amazing and humbling...when I look at images like these I think who the hell are we? Nothing, specks of dust and yet some think we are the universe...

Thank you Renata

You're absolutely right! It's fascinating what's up above us, even more mind boggling the fact that what we're seeing was over 1000 light years away...so we're literally staring at the past!

Tony, staring at the past is more than mind boggling. My little brain sizzles when I think about it :)

It's arrived - I took it out for a walk yesterday and I am beyond impressed.
Please bear in mind my old macro lens was a Tamron SP90AF 72E - made in the late 90s.

I was a bit surprised that the EF 100 Macro IS L still hunts with the EOS R. It's the only L lens I've ever owned that hunts and sometimes can't lock focus. I thought it would be better on the EOS R, but it's not.

This is pretty rare under 'everyday use' but consistent for me with the 5D3, 5D4, 1DXii and EOS R, when shooting tabletop products on white. And it does not happen in the same scenario, with different lenses.

Anyone else noticed the 100L hunting? Maybe it's my lens...

Oh, and I do limit the focus range.
