This is about how much I cropped those swifts. 65 point AF worked like I charm. Supposed to clear up tomorrow.

I think a bit more colour in the sky might help.

Thanks. Looks better. Not a keeper but just posted for something to do. Once it clears up I'll head out to that area again.

These are far from my favourite shots. It was heavy overcast and these are fast so I used a high ISO. At times I think they are playing. It was more of a tracking experiment. 65 point auto and when I did managed to get one the frame AF was fast and the points tracked very well. I'm going to go back on a sunny day.

Cropped heavily too so no where near wall worthy.

Excellent panning work there DP.

Thanks. These are so fast I don't think I could have done it without 65 AF. The cormorant would be OK with single point as they fly in a direct line but for that situation I probably would have used small zone. I was in Case 6 and set AF switching to 2. When the sun comes out I'm heading back. Hopefully they are still there as it is migration time here now.

Looks like good tracking practice!

Too cold for me now, but looking forward to above-freezing temps in a month or two.

I'm not in Canada and it was no fun when I was either.

I'm not sure about the story it tells, but to me, it just looks cool. Nice work.

Those are excellent captures, DP. They are certainly among the toughest targets for a BIF photographer.

Excellent shots, Lester. My favorite is the first shot.

Those are both sensational eagle shots.

You know, if you were to remove that branch, the eagle becomes the hunter, swooping in for the kill. I reckon that would be very marketable on a commercial basis.
