Feb 22, 2019 04:50 | #36322 PCousins wrote in post #18816180 I am so lucky to have a pair of Peregrines 2-300 metres from my home in a perfect quarry setting. Last year they nested but unfortunately they were continuously ambushed by crows/jackdaws/ravens and had their eggs taken from their nest. The year before the Male falcon flew off and never came back and a few weeks latter another male appeared. In the last few days they have started to mate so I'm hoping this will be a successful year. Excellent shot PC. The hooded crows are the raptors nemesis out here on Crete. Lets hope the Peregrines manage a brood this year. Canon R6 II, RF 800mm.

Pretty sure it's a little early for nesting yet. ![]() Mine are checking out last years nest hole in my apple tree again, but a Robin has nested in my Forsythia with three eggs at the moment, it's this crazy mild weather. This is a lovely shot Sid.
