Here's a brief clip showing the Acurite Atlas Weather Station HD Display's animation. This was shot using my Laowa 15mm f4 macro lens and rendered in 4K.

The one lightning strike is from a couple of days ago. I'm guessing that notification goes away after 48 hrs. The time shown is still correct. The 0" of rain is due to my doing the factory reset and losing that history.

Sorry the clip isn't more exciting. ;-)a:lol:

EDIT: The lightning notification did 'go away' around daybreak, which would be about 48 hours since it recorded the strike.

Namibia drone sunset above the Hoodia Desert Lodge where I am staying. 105 out during the day and a bit cooler at night. Amazing skies and people. Zebra kebabs last night for dinner :)

Thanks Charlie. I hate bulky bags. Currently use an F stop Shibata and a think tank retrospective 5. Both bags will hold my a7riii, B25, B85 and a third lens. I was trying to work out if the 5L sling would allow slightly more than that but it looks like it wont. The 10L sling looks really big though. Ideally I would be carrying rx1rii, a7riii, B25, B85 and either cv15 or lox 21 in the absolute smallest package possible. I have a backpack that fits it all but looking for a sling style if possible for on my travels

Edit - Charlie, what bag do you use when you carry two bodies? Or is that when you switch to your modular setup?

Edit 2 - think I’ll order the 5L and 10L from Amazon and see what one suits best

5L definitely fits 2 bodies, but you must be aware of the limitations

2 A7's without L brackets, I think you may be able to squeeze in 1 body with an L bracket, but forget about both.

Max size lens is the 28-75 tamron, around the size of the 16-35 f4, B25 + B85 would be easy work. A7 + lens + rx1, no problem. Generally, 2/3 smaller lenses is ok, 4 or larger lenses wont work. Like a 24-70GM, probably has be laid sideways taking up all the space, and wont be able to fit anything else.

here's how it looks with the 28-75 + 12-24 on two bodies, love the bag, it's perfect for me. It sets a size limitation, and I am forced to a certain size.

typical configurations (never use hoods or caps):

2 bodies, 12-24 + 28-75
2 bodies, CV 21 + 35 f2.8
1 body, CV 21 + 28-75 + pixie + mic
1 body, SY 35 f1.4, 85 f1.8
1 body, CV 21, FE 50 1.8
1 body, 12-24, 28-75, 200 f5
1 body, 24-240 + diapers + jetpack (portable wifi) ;-)a

When I have a need for filters, I use the xume system which takes no space and a small pounch that clips to my belt. Generally dont use filters with the 24-240 as it's the odd one out with 72mm, but when I do, the back pocket I store the filters.

Had a Senior Session today...got all prepped for doing shots with lights and strobes...and that just wasn't gonna happen today...really windy, gusts well over 25MPH...and to get all the gear way out into the range where we did the session would have been a nightmare...so...went old school...natural light, 2 bodies and 2 primes...he is a competition skeet and trap shooter...this was just one of the fun ones trying to catch the spent shells as they eject from the breech..first try I messed up...second try we caught it...20 FPS to the rescue.

We tried...several times...but the loads they use don't have much wad and no muzzle flash, no smoke...because they cant have that lingering around and obscuring their view for the next shot...but we tried anyway...should have used some of my cheap ammo...

Didn't get enough shots of the Harris. I think the ones I got were good though.
Here's the last.

A quick smartphone shot I took yesterday to compare the A7R3 with the Loxia 35 f/2 on the right with the new Canon RP and the RF-35mm f/1.8 on the left.

Thanks Charlie, great info there. I think I’m def going to have to order both (5L and 10L) and return one. It looks like the 5L might just work for me. I use half cases though as opposed to L brackets. I’m still toying with the idea of adding a second body but initially it will be to also hold the rx1. I really wish they done a 7L!
