Good, bad or ugly. The reviews are great. It's the weight of the lens along with the 2.8 that is attracting me. Anybody have one on an A73?

I have it and love it. It's a great all around lens, especially if I'm just out and about not knowing what I might photograph. However, I have used it for portraits and landscape shots. If you are looking for a zoom in this range, go for it. You won't be disappointed.

Thought was a travel lens. Seems perfect for that. Thanks.

Recently sold my 24-70 GM and got the Tamy and pocketed the extra cash. Haven't looked back. The GM is better but not 2-3X better. Side by side, it can be hard to tell which lens took the image except for certain situations.

Does the Tamron lens allow for the same fast AF that is talked about with the A7III? I have not shot any Sony cameras before.
