Last of the Snow Geese shots (though a Ross' might be among them).
I've got to move on from Bosque. Lick Creek WMA opens in a bit over a month. Time
to come up with a plan.

Good news for those after a 35mm option.

It turns out the 35mm f/1.4 being released by Tamron is also in development for E mount. There is no expected date but hopefully it isn't far behind.

The post can be found HERE on SAR. (external link)

Wow, was away for a few weeks while I dealt with a personal situation and come back and there’s 60 pages to go through. That’ll take some time!

After 9 years of working with the same company and feeling stagnant and wondering what my future growth opportunity was, decided to leave. Gutsy decision for sure, just one that I saw was the right one to make. Now I’m with an exciting small company with an unlimited growth opportunity, a chance to feel like my contributions are worthwhile (which happens when you go from a company with 200,000 employees to one with less than 20). More freedom and flexibility to be around my kids as they grow up.

On the camera front, still rocking away with my single a7iii and 28-75. Keep on meaning to try and get the 85mm 1.8. The new 135 1.8 looks super exciting but I’ll hold off for now. Can’t remember shooting a 135 that often in my past. What I’m actually really considering though is the Ricoh GRIII. I had the original GR on 3 separate occasions and I kept on going back to it. Skipped the II and now the III looks different enough. Especially since my new job will have me on the occasional flight here and there, being able to slip a camera in the front pocket of my bag as opposed to carrying a camera backpack might be worth it.

Regarding the Ricoh GRIII, I'm having difficulty understanding why I wouldn't get the new RX100 instead...

Cable cars are actually pulled by cables running under the street, hence the name. The overhead cables for electric trolleys are just there to confuse tourists, I think. :p

SAR/labeling mistake. Unless I see an E mount, the tam website shows a Nikon mount.

Depends on what your needs are. GRIII would be a better fit for me personally.

Ricoh GRIII is an aps-c camera with a really nice fast aperture prime.

Rx100 is a 1-inch sensor with a large focal range variable aperture zoom (and all the compromises that come with that)
