Thanks Renata,

He actually came in with his brother and we will be homing them together as they are well bonded. The brother is a little nervous at the moment so I didn't want to scare him with a photoshoot today. I'll let him settle down first before taking photos of him.

I understand, Jeff. One day when his brother is ready for some shots, I'd be happy to see him. Hope all goes well!

That is a very nice cat.
I'm glad it survived the test. Not sure what the consequences for poor cat would have been otherwise. :p

Immediately after the test, the cat was rewarded with chicken meat. The cat is very live. Devoured everything.

I think the cat and the lens are very well matched.
Cracking shot:-)

These really are excellent captures.
Beautiful young cats, displaying their playfulness so well.

Young fella is well endowed. Does he stay a Tom or get a short curtailment in his enthusiasm? :p

Keep them coming.

The Yard Lions are essentially barn cats. Near feral. They live outside 100% and mostly feed themselves. I supplement them when they're small and when they're numerous. These are version 3.0 of the Yard Lions, as we've had 3 generations now. Most of us in the country side have vast fields, my fields are bahia grass that we bale. These barn cats suppress the local mice. I leave them intact and we are carrying on generation to generation with them. They're all descendants of the same mother actually. I make sure they have a place to hold up when it's raining, cold, too hot, etc, and have additional food & water when the season is low (such as our winter).

Here's the previous generation, Yard Lion II, Lola. She was visiting today, found her 5 acres away near a wood's edge. She's got a full coat and very healthy.
