Don’t think that ivy50 code works there though

It doesn't, I tried. ;)

I have the Adobe subscription as well, but using the free Capture One with Fuji support. I don't edit a ton of photos at a time, (or if I do, my lighting was already set, and every exposure is essentially the same, so any edits I do on one photo for the basics, I can essentially copy over to the rest). I try to get most everything right in-camera so I'm not fumbling around photoshop to fix something I could have avoided. Don't think I can yet get rid of my Adobe subscription because of photoshop, and the composites I do from time to time.

Now if Adobe would split it up so I could drop lightroom and just pay $5/month just for photoshop, that'd be a different story. :p

Half the time I'm finding myself just converting a RAW to JPEG in camera, and then using lightroom mobile on my phone for quick edits.

Playing with the Capture One Fuji Pro trial, it seems the "Fuji" portion applies only to the RAW converter. I can import my old Canon RAW files for viewing, but cannot edit them. JPEGs from other cameras and Ligthroom exports however do import and can be edited. Think I may just batch export all the non-Fuji RAW files in my LR catalog for import into Capture One, then archive the RAW files to my NAS.

Yes, the 23 is a whole $749 less then it's f/1.4 sibling. For $150 it's a great option. At f/4 is sharp up close anyway. If you want a wide lens that is shared up close look at the XF16/1.4 it's super sharp all over, even at 1.4. But that is $749 right now...

At F4 I may as well go with the kit lens. Do you know if the 35 2.0 has the same issue? I plan to get a few other lenses but the package deal has either the 23,35 or 50 20.

The 16 1.4 and 56 1.2 I'll probably add later
thanks

The 35/2 is much sharper up close. Nothing wrong with the 18-55 either, just those f/2's are such a good deal with the X-T30 right now. Two of my work horse lenses, the 16/1.4 & 56/1.2 I'm still using the 35/1.4 on a lot of shoots, it's a stunning optic and it's one of those lenses every Fuji shooter should have IMO, that and the much underrated 18/2.

In Denmark two of the major camera shops have a pre-order offer for the new X-T30 together with one of the f2 prises (23, 35 or 50) with a saving of 1800 Dkr - that is close to 240€.
Mine is ordered with the 23 :-)

This offer expires March 31, so I gues that we can expect a bit later release here than the March 20 date in US.

Decided to dive into Capture One Pro Fuji. In a nutshell, this is how I decided to go about my migration from Lightroom to Capture One Fuji Pro using catalogs. My LR catalog is a mix of older JPEG files, Canon CR2s and Fuji RAFs all stored in the default LR import directory structure. I wanted to keep everything in place except for my Canon RAWs which I archived away after exporting JPEGs. In the end, I have catalogs based on years with all my Fuji RAW files and JPEGs for everything else. I haven't tried editing TIFFs in Capture One, but you could give it a shot if you feel you need that editing latitude for your non-Fuji files.

Decide how you want your catalog structure. I did a catalog for 2000-2010, then a catalog for each individual year starting in 2011. None of my catalogs have more then 3,000 images in them so it works well for me. Capture One doesn't have flags which I use heavily, so I use color labels for picks (green) and rejects (red). I never used color labels in LR so no conflicts for me. Also, it goes without saying that you should back everything up first!

Lightroom:
- Select all flagged photos and assign a color label. Do your rejects in a color as well if you keep them. The color labels will export with your JPEGs and be picked up by Capture One.
- Export all non-Fuji RAW files as JPEG using the metadata filter (camera + file type). I did mine in batches by year, and yes it takes a while! Mimic your future catalog structure when exporting them.
- Select your LR JPEG files in batches that mimic your future Capture One catalog and export them as a Catalog. Deselect all negative and preview options.
- Repeat for your FUJI RAW files. You can consolidate the RAW and JPEG catalogs when importing back into Capture One.
- You can now move / archive your non-Fuji RAW files from LR the import directories if you wish.

Capture One:
- Edit hotkeys to mimic LR flags:
-- P: Adjustments->Color Tag->Green
-- X: Adjustments->Color Tag->Red
-- U: Adjustments->Color Tag->None
-- You can hide the viewer as well for a LR style grid when browsing. I use ~: Viewer->View
- Importing:
-- Create a C1 catalog, import corresponding JPEG and Fuji RAW Lightroom catalogs.
-- Import your exported JPEGS. Use the following sub folder format if you want to mimic LR - [Image Year (yyyy)]\[Image Year (yyyy)]-[Image Month (MM)]-[Image Day of Month (dd)]
-- You may want to clean-up the User Collections that Capture One generates while doing this as well.
- Cancel your Adobe subscription
- Rejoice and be happy
