It's been awhile since I posted. My photos were published in the magazine I had mentioned earlier, but they forgot to give me photo credit! I'm sure it was an honest mistake, but I reached out to the editor anyway. The photos are on page 36 of this link for those interested: http://digitaleditions.walsworthprintgroup.com …38,%22issue_id%22:568627} (external link)

They're mostly journalistic, but it's still cool seeing my work published somewhere like this!

Scary day this was: 14 people dead from a tornado strike near Opelika, Alabama. That's just a short 20 minute drive from my house. Terrifying. Unnerving.

That sounds super scary David and my heart goes out to the families. How terrible.

This was my last shot at the Racetrack Playa after a long day of being out there. By this time around 8:30 PM, the temps were down in the mid 20's and the ground was so cold. I'm glad this 4 image focus stack came together in the editing phase. The FE 16-35 GM was a bit tricky to manually focus since infinity on my copy was at 10 meter.

The sailing rocks here were just amazing. It was like these 2 rocks were playing follow the leader. The sweeping s curve was just icing on the proverbial cake from a memorable trip.

Glad you're ok David.

Yes very unnerving when things like this happen so close to home. Makes you realize how vulnerable we really are day in and out. Puts things into perspective sometimes.

Wow! Amazing what you capture that the eye/brain doesn't see!!

Super awesome shot! I want to try for some similar shots this year.

I actually like the crop (and trail) the way it is. I like the way the trail is kind of a circular boarder that kind of cradles the scene. Also my eyes want to wander down the path toward the darker forest. I find it mysterious and intriguing.

Thanks. Think I'm going to sit on them both a while before deciding which goes up at home!

I love the shadow of the other crane on this ones wing.

most excellent, glad this one turned out for you! Yeah, focusing on the 16-35 in the dark was tricky...I think for that alone the B18 will stay with me, that OLED makes it so much easier.

Thank you. Me too. I found the extra frame with the proper focus so I was able to complete the focus stack. Yeah that OLED is pretty sweet.
