I tend to manually stack in photoshop using layers (for live subjects that might move I find this gives less artifacts) so would it still be possible to access the individual frames?
Focus peaking certainly a boon with fast primes, don't know how well this would work with the MP-E at 3x or more, so any experience with the pair would be interesting to hear about.
On a general comment on the R and RP, for me it is just a shame they put them on a new RF mount so you have to use an adaptor with an old EF, MP, TS lens.
My understanding is that you can still access the individual frames if you just want to pick out ones you want/like.
I tried out the RP with the adapter & several EF lenses in Best Buy & it seemed to work basically flawlessly; also seemed very well made & comes free w/ the camera during March, so at least there’s that.
I’ve never used focus peaking but when I saw it on the RP at Best Buy (the Canon guy happened to be there so I asked for some demos) the parts in focus were very bright & clear (in that case, red, but could have been yellow or blue) when manually focusing (I don’t know what it looks like on other cameras so I have no basis for comparison). I thought it could be useful for macro manual focusing especially as my vision can’t be corrected to 20/20 right now (maybe at some point after cataract surgery, but that’s a couple years off).
