Would love to see more examples when you have time. Marci

kd_reno Goldmember More info | Mar 05, 2019 22:05 | #23 It doesn't create the stacked image in camera, but getting a set of bracketed images is really easy. These orchids are on two branches arching towards the camera, about seven inches front to back. I did a 20 shot group at f/5.6, but I think it would have worked with fewer. Below it are single shots at f/5.6 and f/16 for comparison. Orchids - RP TestKen

Ken & Tom...excellent examples of the RP version focus stacking. I first saw a demo of this on a macro shot, but clearly you've shown that its not just for macro work.

gossamer88 "something else" More info Post edited over 4 years ago by gossamer88. | Mar 06, 2019 09:43 | #26 Went to B&H yesterday on my lunch break. Wanted to feel the RP in my hands. No question, for me, the "pinky grip" (what the sales lady calls it) is needed for my big hands. The touch and drag AF was a bit of a...ahem...drag. I decided to try the R touch and drag and it was way more responsive. Image hosted by forum (964936) © gossamer88 [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. TeamSpeed 01010100 01010011 More info | Mar 07, 2019 05:15 | #29 Based on reviews, and given Canon only has one DPAF system right now that constantly gets better, I suspect it is the same if not better. Also I noticed that Canon fixed something that bugs me on the EOS R and M50... the size of the AF box can now be set to small in AI Servo, instead of it going to the 4x larger box. That is a pretty big thing for me. With that one change, coupled with focus bracketing, this makes the RP substantially more compelling to me than the R. I will watch accounts of this from others, and hope to see a firmware update to allow this in the future perhaps. Supposedly the R and 5D4 may be getting focus bracketing via firmware in the future.
