First major snow storm the Tucson Mtns have seen since the eighties
Red Rocks in Denver

Very nice.
Bit unique. Almost like a collision of landscapes and seasons rolled into one.

How much distance separation between fore and background?

Thank you Sir/Madam, I appreciate your opinion. Its subjective matter of choice, for me I would choose the previous one anytime compared to the later.

Sorry outside of Denver we do not live there and our friends from Denver drove us there. Officially it is the "Garden of the Gods" I have corrected the location.

I suspected that. I live close to Red Rocks, and there aren't any mountains like that in the background. Colorado Springs is at the foot of Pikes Peak, I think part of that is in the background.

Beautiful country all around there for sure.

GOTG is big, a splendid photographic experience (in decent light) and always beautiful. Looks like a National Park, or a State Park. Isn't either. Many might be surprised that it is actually a city park!

Was going to put this in "'Panoramics".... but its the compression of shooting this at 400mm that stands out most. That is.... that is Mount BAKER (as in Washington) looming over VICTORIA, BC on Vancouver Island! Its a long ways off - not just on the other side of the trees.. lol This was an exceptionally clear day.

10 shot composite @ 400mm on Sony A99ii - shot from a little viewpoint on a bluff in Colwood, BC - a suburb community of Victoria. Down at sea level you can only make out the top of Baker over the city skyline.

Please click on link under photo for nice larger view.
