The thing about adapted lenses (including the "native" Sigma FE lenses) is that the spacer shifts a lot of the weight to the front, so they feel a lot heavier than truly native lenses because they are so front heavy.

I guess it's all relative. My first run and gun setup was the 1D classic with the 70-200L. Makes the A7 series feel like a toy even with the Art lens attached. I can confirm the front heavy feeling though!

When I first started shooting at the track, I used a gripped 50D and a 28-300L...one of the most heavy lenses out there...and I would hand hold it all day...it never bothered me...so now these little lenses and a gripped Sony are nothing...hell...I handhold the 200F2 when I get the joy of using one...

iPad Pro/LR CC workflow update:
  • With my first photo project with the iPad Pro I imported the raw files straight to my iPad per Brian Matiash's videos. However, this meant those huge uncompressed raw files had to flow upstream to the cloud, which was very slow and cumbersome. And it makes more work later because I'll have to move the raw files to the correct folder in my LR Classic catalog.

  • For my second project I imported straight to LR Classic with my exact file structure I always use. Then I created a collection of the files and turned on syncing within LR Classic. This worked way better for me: 1. Files are in the right folder from the beginning. 2. LR CC only sees the smart previews, so originals don't need to copy to the cloud. 3. LR CC, whether on the PC or iPad Pro have total control over processing, rating, culling, etc. - all such edits or deletions are synced with LR Classic. 4. If I really want to have the original on my iPad Pro, all that is needed is to click the "get original" button.

This is really really cool imo. I like that I can work both ways. On a trip, for instance, I can import the raw files straight to my iPad Pro, but for standard daytrip outings I can import the raws straight to LR CC on my PC and have them sync to LR CC on the iPad, which lets me do all the processing in bed, in the lounge chair, on the rocking chair out on the porch, etc.

Eddie, please tell me you also got the Apple Pencil. I wouldn't want to do this without that amazing Pencil!

Very nice David! Really love the convenience too and was one of my first reasons for looking into iPad Pro.

I know this is not Sony related but does anyone here have any interests in Leica Q2? I don’t think I’ve had such bad GAS since my last purchase of a7rii few years ago.. Am I stupid to even consider such expensive fixed lens camera?

I was so tempted to get the original Q.. and this one is so much better ++ weather sealing..

but damn.. $5 grand!!

thats quite a steep penalty to be in the rich man's club..at least for a blue collar guy like me..

maybe after it drops down in price:cry:

it looks awesome, except for the price :-P

I've always liked the leica q series, however, the Q2 has a real weather sealing rating IP52 rather than simply "weather resistant".

if anyone is interested in reading MTF charts, lensrentals has one out for the 135 GM
https://www.lensrentals.com …1-8-gm-early-mtf-results/ (external link)

essentially, it's super duper sharp, sharper than the sigma 135, which is super duper sharp. Combined with super AF, the 135 GM is earning its price tag.

A winner so far...now it will come down the bokeh quality. If the bokeh is amazing then it might be an irresistible lens even for a non-portrait guy like me.
