Yippee!!!! Managed to grimace through the broken wrist pain and go out today with the 5DIV, albeit with the lighter 24-70 f4L IS lens attached rather than the 100-400, which is still far too heavy for me to manage. The light was poor and it was drizzling, but it was just nice to have the 5DIV in my (painful) hands again. Plaster cast coming off soon, I hope.

Glad to hear about the hand doing better! Please keep that G11 dusted off, though. They're great at close work.

Here are some milkweed seeds. There was a very strong late autumn wind blowing as the sun began to set and these seeds were being stripped out of the pods with each gust. An off camera flash illuminated the scene as darkness began to fall, adding more color and emphasis to the event while also freezing the seeds in the air as they were cast to the winds.

Poppy seed pod, these poppies are quite small and come up randomly every few years.
