I’m ummining and ahhing over one of these lenses.
I currently have the older 150-500 on an 80D, which in good light is ace, however I’ve always been a little dissatisfied with the sharpness of it. So I’m thinking of chopping it in for the Sport as the images in this thread look fantastic.
Can I presume it’s a trade I won’t regret?

I had the 150-500 before I got the sport version. This lens is not going to disappoint. One of the biggest advantages over the older lens is the doc that is available. The doc allows almost endless adjustments and firmware updates as they become available. It is a heavy lens though...if weight is an issue you might look into the contemporary version, as it's slightly lighter. The contemporary is significantly less money too.
