I like this, I haven't had much luck with adding the landscape in yet.

First outing of the year. Fishing pier on Tybee Island, GA. The lights on the horizon are container ships waiting to come into the port of Savannah, GA.

Going to Kailua-Kona Hawaii next month and hoping to get some Milky Way shots. Any suggestions on locations for MW with beach foreground?

Also planning for night shooting from Mauna Kea, but really hoping for a nice shot with a "tropical" feel.

I am thinking west side of island, should be moonless while I am there.

The south end of Tybee is the spot...at least until tourist season is in full swing.

I got out to do some MW landscapes about a week ago. Felt good to be out.

This is just outside the south entrance of Joshua Tree NP.

A couple from last night... the first is a self portrait of me observing the Leo Triplet, with the Magellanic Clouds (satellite galaxies of the Milky Way) as a backdrop, and the second one is my Brother-in-law doing some observing. Both shot with the 6D and Samyang 14mm f/2.8 @ f/2.8, 6400 iso and 30 sec exposures.

Galaxy Ahead!

I got up at 3am and headed out to Coleyville southwest of Brisbane this morning to shoot the Milky Way. This section of road lined up perfectly with the galactic plane :)

Panorama using my 6D and Samyang 14mm lens.
