Saw one the Pelicans land on the top of the light post. Looked like he had a few problems getting the balance as there was a lot of wing-flapping

A Scarlet Robin visited my yard today and took advantage of me raking up the leaves having a feast on the bugs I exposed.

Rick those birds are beautiful. Lovely to see in the bush. Would love them in my yard.

Adjusted the Metadata to read the lens details

It is a 100-400mm

Thanks Rick. Gives good results and has good reviews.
there's a few of those on this forum and I've looked to buy then looked away.

I'm sure the Olympus lens will be brilliant it looks to be significantly bigger in size and I'm sure will have a price tag to match

The Panasonic kit I have is for travelling as I wanted something smaller and lighter.

what a lovely bird.
Can imagine how thrilled you would have been to see that.
very nice photos despite the glass

We have missed the honeyeaters this year, but the Little Wattlebird has been around with about 6 - 8 active here.

Australian Black Shouldered Kite. These old, 10MP Canon 40D images have been languishing on my hard drive until Topaz AI Clear (NR plus Sharpening) came along.:-)

Cheers

I still have a smile on my face from this exciting visit. My bird has no bands so is a wild bred bird so looks good for them, maybe. Cool that your FIL is involved in looking after this species :-)
