Remeber my ruby red sky? It has made Explore on Flickr, not sure what that means but just on 4000 views currently. I'm quite chuffed particularly as I was sick with a major bout of shingles and I thought those shots (it'sa one off), not HDR were useless well out of focus. Good thing I checked a few days later, eh? Shingles can effect eyesight, brain workings etc. Last thursday I needed ambo, could not work out how to use my phone to call them up. I have survived and am now, at 4 am dmn it, starting to heal. BTW Morphine by pill tastes rat shart, very rat shart.

Would some one from here like to print it?

So sad, and angry, and all sorts of of other emotions about this. It has been awesome to see kiwis come together to support the victims and their families though. Over $4M donated on the givealittle page, and more elsewhere, shows the sentiment of the country, and willingness to help. A small bright spot on a dark day.

well said. Really really sad that it takes an event like this to prod those in authority into action though, the lack of effective gun laws and their proliferation in NZ I would describe as shameful. There are zero valid reasons for any form of semi-automatic firearms to be available to the general public in New Zealand.
What really annoys me is the report that the Bruce Rifle club that the alleged perp associated with, was earlier reported to the police as having attitude problems - and there was no action taken.

Hopefully lessons have been learned and things will change.

Totally agree - very good points. Let's hope the gun laws change, and people are a bit more vigilant about such reports in the future.

I have just had an older woman, older than me so must be ancient, get really wild upset when my answer to her "We are surrounded by Muslims", was "So Bloody What?"
