Also at that point of not knowing what direction the M line is going to go. If they release an M5/6 MkII we'll have another few years to speculate on. If not...I m also pondering a basic XT-2 and the 18-55 kit. The price drop is tempting but I'd have to start over with the Fuji speedlights and on a casual rig, that's more $ that I don't want to spend towards. I really am hoping to nudge the M use more and at minimal get the M6 to replace the M3.
I feel like they could maintain both the lines and the M line has been very popular in Japan. The M50 seems to be very popular too so this may be enough for Canon to keep them around. I think the 32mm f/1.4 was a good sign they are still interested in the EF-M mount but in saying that, this year Canon stated there will be no new EF lenses and they will focus on RF. Who knows if the EF-M Mount would be included in that.
You could consider the Godox AD200 if you only shoot off camera. I got the X-Pro S trigger for my Sony and plan to get the Canon version. Much easier than having different triggers for different systems.
I’ve decided to part with my M50 and lenses. Post in classifieds section if anyone is interested
I'm guessing it's because of your EOS R?
