Whew, very cold, a couple of degrees above zero. Camera batteries did not like the cold at all (I didn't either), but I got a few shots off before the battery went dead.

Beautiful mountainous scenery. The sky is very nice.
Very natural looking photo, looks well exposed etc.

Thanks. The camera gets the credit for the exposure. I think it's actually an easy scene to expose for since it's pretty even light - right at sunrise.

The morning after our recent ice and snow storm. While not as cold as Patrick J's recent shot, I can assure you that it was seriously nippy!

Hope you enjoy

Beautiful photos.
Fantastic to see restored or working windmills.
Very nice.

I do appreciate the coloured version, so thanks for giving us both.

I came across this meadow while taking a break for breakfast during a backpacking trip last summer in the Sierra. After filling my belly it was then time for my eyes to feast on this smorgasbord of wildflowers. I spent a couple of hours here, which turned out to be a bit too long as the weather did a complete 180 and just before I got to camp it started to rain/hail and I got drenched to the bone. It's crazy how fast the weather can turn in the Sierra.
