Thanks Jeff and Mike...The perches are the result of years of scorching heat here in the desert. It dries out the cacti and wood until it breaks apart in many interesting possibilities.

This little gal is often in her yard when I go for a walk. She usually barks and barks (and runs back and forth) but can't do much more than that because of the "invisible fence." The other day instead of ignoring her as I walked by I stopped and took her photo. She didn't know what to think about that, and momentarily gave up guarding to stand stock still and stare at me.

Good evening Mr. Photographer. Do I look ok for my picture? I was out near some power lines on this afternoon photographing a herd of about 15 doe's, and when got back to my truck this doe came barreling through the brush about twenty yards from me, stopped, caught my scent and continued to walk towards me stopping every so often to eat some egg corns. She ended up coming within 10 feet of me, just looking in my direction. I was already in the driver's seat so I was sort of in a blind, but she knew I was there. Beautiful animal, it was a lot of fun just watching her go about her late afternoon.

American doe, Canon 7d mark i and Canon 100-400 L f5.6 IS version i.

Thanks for looking.

Mike

One from this morning. Waited a long time from him/her to take to the skies but unfortunately had to leave before that happened.
