I know the feeling, living near the coast can sometimes be unbearable then, throw in a hurricane and it really gets fun.

Do you have any pics on a flickr account or somewhere using the lightsphere? Just curious what the light will look like. these are pointing up. Mar 25, 2019 21:28 | #27365 Here is another I finished again from downtown SATX. The light was just so nice when I shot these series of images. I wanted to capture someone walking along the bridge and fortunately someone walking their dog walked into my scene. I love it when a plan comes together. ![]() - Alfredo -

I actually tried one recently at a Sony event and quite liked it. If it wasn't for the QC issues and stores here being horrible at returns, I'd give it a try. The Sigma is more in my budget though. That's a shame, it's a surprisingly great lens! Sounds like your kit is all set now. Mine is currently 16-35, 35, 28-75, 85 and 90mm. I never really have a need for tele lenses but down the track I'll probably add the Sigma 135 Art considering I can get it for around $1200 AUD on sale. Its also that the Sigma is slightly heavier and stuff and ive heard things about the AF that make me nervous, Its not a bad lens, and i have plenty of Sigma (See the Sigma 150-600 i currently own/love to use with the MC-11) if it wasnt for the fact i am planning to use it for some fun shots of my Corgis (I found the 35mm f/2.8 to be REALLY FUN for getting say, nice shots of their entire bodies, or giving a cool perspective shot of them playing/lounging, or to get both corgis in one picture easily, its just the f/2.8 is a little wanting when it comes to getting rid of the backgrounds..) where i badly need the best AF i can manage Gear, New and Old! Which isnt to say i didnt like the f/2.8, i honestly didnt know if the aperture was going to be an issue and i did feel there were some advantages to the small nature of the lens like being able to work with it in some spots i might not be able to otherwise, The optical quality was nice and it has superb colors. Which is i suppose another reason im going for the Distagon, the coatings on my Zeiss glass are appealing to me Tho totally get why people love the Sigma, its a great lens period and it really just came down to some of the side by sides I saw where i just felt the bokeh and rendering on the Distagon looked nicer to my eyes, ive had a lot of sigmas as i said and most of them were stellar, and its not that i dislike the Sigma look either.. if it was available where im buying the Distagon id probably consider trying it. And yeah, my kit is mostly set, ill rent a 24-105 if i go somewhere where ill need it, and i might get an ultrawide zoom (The 12-24 f/4 maybe, or convert a Sigma over) Hopefully the rumors about an e mount native 150-600 are true too.. Wonder if i can do the Sigma mount conversion on mine if they release a E-mount version of this lens as i hear the native E-mount works better than the MC-11 converted ones

Bokeh, colors and rendering are definitely where the distagon shine. Also, the AF is extremely fast and solid. It's a great lens for environmental portraits, but it's stellar for wedding and event work too. ![]() ![]() ![]() IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/22hVMnV ![]() ![]() ![]() IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/29Wx3Zq ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() focalpointsphoto.com
