I love everything about this.
Question; where did you get the wheat stalks. That's such a great prop.

I think it's rye.

The rolling pin is effective visually, too. Its rough texture, highly unusual for one in active service, contributes to the homespun look, and its color and placement work well in the composition. I have to say, though, that it isn't thematic. As far as I know, a rolling pin isn't used in making that kind of loaf.

PRONOUN ADVISORY: OhLook is a she. | A FEW CORRECT SPELLINGS: lens, aperture, amateur, hobbyist, per se, raccoon, whoa, more so (2 wds.), shoo-in | Comments welcome

Actually, when I make my sourdough bread, the dough is rolled out, folded in three, turned around 90 degrees and folded again a few times. I do it with a rolling pin that is smooth but a rough one could be used as this is just the folding process while the dough is rising in several stages. But I'm also not a professional baker; just messing with dough :)

I'm so glad I hedged with "as far as I know."

Never in a million years would I have considered looking for this on Amazon. I figured it was something Bojsha picked up from a local farm somewhere. Learned something new today. Thanks for sharing that little bit of info.

But where Bojsha lives, there is no Amazon and I'm sure he can pick it up locally or just ask a friendly farmer.
But let's see what he says.

Thanks, you are all very kind.
Wheat, rye and all other stuff like this for me is easy to find.
I live in a big city, and that kind of props you can find at local food markets.
Best regards.

Thank you. Your photo has inspired me to try something similar.

Now to find some grain stalks... -?
