So I got my RP yesterday and messed around with it last night for a little while. I don't have any photos to share that are worth looking at, yet, but I do want to talk about the eye focus.

Any reviewer I heard or read says the eye focus works really well. I can't decide if I agree for two reasons. (1) I've never used another camera that has it, and (2) I'm coming from crop sensor cameras, so the apparent depth of field is a LOT shallower than I'm used to.

Testing the 50/1.8 and the 100/2 ... the eye focus seemed to locking just a bit in front of the actual eye, like the cheek. If it wasn't a mirrorless camera, I'd say it was front focusing just a bit, but obviously that's not it. I was inside and it was not bright, so perhaps it'll do better in bright light. It didn't miss enough that it would matter, meaning I generally don't crop too much and then resize to 1600 pixels on the long side, which eliminates a lot of pixel peeping exact focus point problems.

Is everyone else satisfied with the eye focus (single shot AF)? Does it lock on perfectly for you?

Coming from a 5dc the focus on this thing is amazing! To even have eye auto focus makes it so much easier! But having shot with a Sony and using their eye autofocus before canons is lacking.

Can you find anything in the RP Manual about Eye Focus? For some reason I am only finding information about Face Focus in the RP Manual. What page is it on?

It's mentioned on page 77 as a tip. Doesn't give any detail. I haven't gone thru the manual, what's the fun in that :P

edit to add: page 198

My page 77 is "Set the level of background motion blur." (Not a tip about eye focus)

My page 198 is just about the battery. (Nothing about eye focus)

This is very strange. I still don't find anything about eye focus in my RP Instruction Manual.

I'm really impressed by how well the focus grabs what I want it to. I'm not sure if my 80D with same lens setup could have locked on to this little guy here with those branches in the way.
