Poison mushrooms stir the imagination. There are lots of things in the woods that are poisonous, not just mushrooms. I don't eat any of those things!

Conversely, some people will tell you that those Amanita mushrooms are not as deadly as some believe, and some people eat them.

Some poison mushrooms enhance the imagination!

LOL Enhance, enchant, engulf are words that come to mind

They don't have a nickname for no reason.

There's been some sad stories hear from eating happy mushrooms with pretty dire consequences.
A few years ago a local council were tasked with removing pesky fungi following some unfortunate young clowns coming to grief on them.
A NORTH-WEST teenager says he will never use magic mushrooms again following an overdose on the drug that had him hospitalised and seeing his life flash before his eyes.
He and his mates picked about 150 and took them home and started on them. It was Friday the 13th to top it off.
Poor blokes were fortunate.

There's some strange fungi appearing in supermarket shelves these days.
I love mushrooms but it doesn't extend to those things

Quite amazing imagery.
Almost like those simulated coal/coke electric fires, with the underglow beneath the blackened surface.
Very nice

This popped up in my garden this morning. No idea what sort of mushroom it is but the top part is about 6 inches diameter!

Yeah, I imagine the fungal filaments under the soil must be extensive to support such a large 'fruiting body'.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.
