Poppy fields

Wow. That's spectacular colour.
Quite some scene.
Is that natural wild poppy? Californian?

Lots of spring-like photos being posted. We have nice weather in Denver at the moment, but the mountains still have quite a bit of snow and storms rolling in. This hike started out in almost t-shirt weather and ended with me in my winter gear seeing if a snow storm would clear before sunset - it didn't.

Where is this? I always think everything above tree line in winter is Loveland Pass, but I don't recognize anything.

Jones Pass. I used snowshoes, but the trail is very compacted and definitely hikeable without.

Thanks, I'll have to get up there one of these days. Great view of the Gore Range from up there.

Ah! What a lovely sight to behold.
An ancient landscape, no doubt steeped in history.
Beautifully photographed.
