Yeah I'm guilty of it too. It's one of those things like super shallow DOF shots where you get overzealous with a compositional technique just because you can. I'm guilty of overusing fast apertures too :-)

bokeholic, definitely guilty of that, even a 2.8 zoom makes a big difference in video. 1.4 lenses are pretty ridiculous for video, like too much context is lost at times.

Bokeh from the Tam 28-75 for video:

Just downloaded vlc player. Some head scratching to follow

VLC is weird, but if you have problems playing anything on the ipad, it usually corrects. You just have to share the video to that application. It also network streams via http and possibly other protocols.

David - have you seen these? They are about twice the price of a similar size usb 3 flash drive but they allow you to directly attach storage to the iPad as it has a lightning connector on one end. What I’m unsure of though is if you could adapt that to usb-c or not but it gives me hope something will be released that is usb-c already. I’ll stick with the Rav Power in the mean time

It's fun to go back through your catalog and revisit images and find an image with potential. This was the case when I revisited this image and liked how the light gently swept across the features of the amazing landscape of Zabriskie Point.

FE 100-400 rental (this will be my next lens purchase)

I was away for a 4 day trip last weekend with the family in the campervan. I made the video below on Lumafusion using drone and GoPro footage. Theres also still images in there taken on the a7rIII that I key framed to add some motion.

Its 6 minutes long but if anyone can be bothered watching id appreciate the feedback. (Needs sound and a solid internet connection to keep the sound synced). Oh and I have spotted a glitch around the 3:20 mark so will have to re-upload later.

From your personal/family point of view..... Bloody Awesome 8-)

From my point of view..... Also bloody awesome :)

Hard criticism - I don't like overpowering music. I, personally, found the music a little repetitive (I appreciate you need free usage) & also I would have preferred more actual realtime sound (which I guess isn't always possible) ie whilst feeding the animals I think the music fading to half volume or less & the audio of the animals, kids laughing, etc coming through would have been great. Aside from that, to my eyes it was really watchable & flowed pretty well from one scene to another with quite a mixture of things going on.

Well done :)

Thanks Lee, much appreciated. I’ll take the comments on board too. The music choice is always going to be polarising as I appreciate my tastes will be different than others but good shout about adding in more of the actual audio captured and perhaps lowering the music when the real volume is playing

I checked the exif on your photo album website to discover that this was taken at: FOCAL LENGTH 111.0 mm (111.0 mm in 35mm). I agree that the FE 100-400mm lens is a wonderful lens and will serve you well.

Thank you Lee! It was unreal to me too. Would love to explore more of the southwest.
