Greater Roadrunner

Yesterday was the only opportunity I've ever had to shoot a roadrunner. He was hauling @ss and stopped momentarily, allowing me to fire off 3 frames. Two were immediately trashed, and this is the only one I kept. It's not the greatest, but I'm just glad to have finally had a shot at one.

One day, one day I am hoping to be that lucky. They move so dang fast that by the time I reach for the camera, they are long gone.

Thank you, Shalu.

Your bushtit shot is fantastic, Shalu. I've never seen one with the pretty hint of blue like yours.

All the way down to the shoulders.

This isn't so silly if one keeps in mind that the photo is viewed starting from the top, then scroll, scroll, scroll.

I was photographing at a spot were I never have seen a roadrunner in my life. I honestly had no thought of seeing one there. It surely was pure luck, and they really do move unbelievably fast. I hope you get one Sibil.

Great capture, Robert. Very sharp, with a nice background.

Thank you, Mike! Fortunately, they fell down to the water before they reached me. As you can see from the picture, the right one was already starting to fall.
