I am way the heck behind here...10 something pages...and usually don't drag the old back up...but had to here...

really nice...I wish I had the know how, time and paticence for this kind of stuff...I have the Osmo...don't use it...its been sitting on my desk since I got back from Death Valley...have not even saved the DV video...we are going on a little getaway weekend just the 3 of us next month...I want to do more video...gotta make myself do it.

same...time is just not on my side.

I need to charge mine up...make myself get used to using it...

oddly, my daughter loves stills...my wife has thousands of them on her phone and my daughter sits and goes through them, remembering the stories that go with them...but I bet if I had a bunch of cool videos like yours on my phone...she would wear it out watching them.

Thanks Travis. With Lumafusion it’s easier than I expected to do it. I still have loads to learn on video in general but basically just shoot loads of wee clips when I’m out then try and piece them into a story of sorts afterwards. I’m really enjoying the editing side of it. I also take loads of clips of the kids that will never end up on a public video but just trying to build a collection of random clips of them doing random things to look back on in years to come. It’s really addictive I’m finding

Enjoy it. I switched to PS4 this gen from Xbox 360. There are a lot of great games for the system.

I play MechWarrior Online, have been playing for years and years. Currently skilling a Nova.

GoPro Sony sensor?
Used TimeWarp at 30x.
Seems really smooth to me, but I've not had a GoPro since the flyaway.
Looks best in 4k of course.
I can see this on the front of the rental campervan in Alaska later this summer.

Looks good Robert. 30x is the smoothest time warp and it gets less smooth as you move towards 2x. It was 15x at the start of the campervan video I posted. I’ve saw great footage on YouTube of people walking and holding the GoPro on a stick at 30x time warp and ending up with smooth footage. I’ve still to try that but will try it next time I go hiking

I decided to attempt a little lens surgery on the slightly wobbly barrel of my Contax 35-70/3.4. The mount and aperture ring were pretty easy to remove and that gave me access to the few loose screws responsible for the wobble. Unfortunately, I heard a sickening 'tick, tick, tick ticktickticktick' as a tiny bearing for the aperture indexing went skittering invisibly across the hardwood floor.

I spent an hour or so searching for local vendors that might have bearings that small on hand - no dice. vmad

Then I squeezed the ballpoint out of a 1mm pen that I had on hand - too small, but it gave me hope. I went to Target and they had a handful of "Bold" ballpoints. Bought a pack, extracted a tip and it worked perfectly! The 35-70 is back together and happy again, so I took a little walk-around with it to celebrate -

Thanks Eddie. Pic quality for a pinky nail size sensor isn't too bad either. I did end up with an aluminum cage and it works fine, can even plug in USB-C charging without taking it off.
But my Samsung Tab S3 can pull pics or vids directly off, but can via card reader....just hate fiddling with the micro-sd because of size in the field.

A self-portrait after updating the firmware to version 3. I don't know if a green square shows up this way or not but at f2, my eyes look pretty sharp to me.

This was also shot using my new Godox SL60W LED light through a 24" softbox. At a fixed 56k, I did warm it up just a little.

EDIT: I decided to use the liquify filter to 'push' my hair in place on my right side. I selected the vertical line next to it so that it would not be affected.

Here's the edit showing the protected vertical line.

I love living close to the Botanical Gardens, but....... Even when I try to bring other lenses the A9 100-400gm combo just is the easiest most fun combo.
