I decided to attempt a little lens surgery on the slightly wobbly barrel of my Contax 35-70/3.4. The mount and aperture ring were pretty easy to remove and that gave me access to the few loose screws responsible for the wobble. Unfortunately, I heard a sickening 'tick, tick, tick ticktickticktick' as a tiny bearing for the aperture indexing went skittering invisibly across the hardwood floor.

I spent an hour or so searching for local vendors that might have bearings that small on hand - no dice. vmad

Then I squeezed the ballpoint out of a 1mm pen that I had on hand - too small, but it gave me hope. I went to Target and they had a handful of "Bold" ballpoints. Bought a pack, extracted a tip and it worked perfectly! The 35-70 is back together and happy again, so I took a little walk-around with it to celebrate -

I know thers a few gamers in here..
i've been gaming since I was a kid.. but only got into online gaming at the end of the cod modern warfare 2 era (2009).. soon after I found an adult gaming forum .. for adults like myself who want to game online but dont want to play alongside 9 years olds as your team mates..

found a great bunch of people , one of whom I still game with till this day.. he came in from and Canada to visit new York.. he took me for a tour of cocktail bars that i'd never heard of,, and i'm supposed to be the new yorker:lol:

anyways it was great meeting someone i've known for a long time but never met …

hes on the Left(the other guy is just some guy we chatted with during the wait).. and below that is the $33 Mai Tai I drank ,and I thought $9 beers were expensive!, I got 2 at this particular place called "death and co." .. I haven't had a hang over like that in ages..:-( but it was worth it:-P

music video shoot this week.. the gh5 is my main for video(although i'm waiting to see what the a7s3 does .. ) , but I also use the a73 for certain gimbal shots where I cant manually focus with the gh5 (incase you didnt know gh5 AF is bad in video)..

my son got a few shots of me at work..

and then I took some photos of the Musician.

Enjoyed my weekend trip to Boston with the A6400 and the Sigma lenses. IQ wise I didn’t miss the a7iii much at all but really enjoyed the smaller footprint. I took the 20mm pancake with me when I went to Quincy Market and didn’t get in the way at all. And the joy I saw on my daughters face when she had her white a5100 taking snaps made me even happier.

its the atamos ninja inferno..
GREAT monitor. screen quality is great .. plus allows me to record 10 bit 422 at up to 4k60..
also at high bitrates but much better codecs than the pansonic or sony use.. which makes editing sooo much easier even though the files can be way over 400mb per sec.

but.. it is heavy

Thanks. That's a little more than I wanted for my purposes. I'm looking for a cheap alternative just so I can do a vlog or shoot a self-portrait easier and make sure I'm in the frame Ok.

ikahn makes some very basic monitors .. no recording .. but very good quality image considering the price of the cheaper ones.. i've owned a very basic one in the past cheap but not exactly rugged.

right now as far as budget monitors all the youtubers seem to be gushing over the feelworld ma5 .. i've never had it
