I'll be the test dummy. I have a Godox AD-R12 on the way for use in my AD400 Pro. Now it's just time to figure out if I can safely boom it a small amount on my Manfrotto 420 convertible boom stand (note - I do have sand bags and will be counterbalancing the weight.) From other BTS shots of high-output reflectors in use it seems like it's pretty common to boom the light and then shoot from underneath. Nikon D850/FE and Fuji X-T2

I got about 2 stops more light with 10.5" than the OEM 5" reflector. I am interested in your experience with Godox. 5D, 24-105L, 70-200L IS, 85mm Art, Godox

Would the Glow EZ Lock 20" deep softbox, without diffusion/diffuser plates installed, be any kind of comparable to the Colt 45/Snub 38/any other high-output reflector? Shape and size is somewhat similar. Second question... Anyone have any experience with the AD-R12 long throw reflector for the AD400 Pro?

But initial impressions are: A) It's a fair bit smaller than I expected. It's only a little bigger than a 7" Bowens-mount standard reflector. It's also very light weight. The 7" is not like the Ad-r12. I AM SHOM
