Martin, is the animation not working, or is it very subtle? I can't see it on Flickr.

Sorry, Flickr is very weird with GIFs.

Here's the full resolution animation on my Astrobin:

April 24th 2019

Not much sizzling other than a pretty nice big prominence grouping. Had a little time with it this morning. Presented in hydrogen alpha & calcium k line.

"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

April 29th 2019,

Not a lot going on today. There's a fair prominence on the limb, but no sunspots and no major other features. However, with enough resolution one can see smaller features in various wavelengths. Convection cells, spicules, fibrils, filaments, prominence are represented in high resolution from an 8 inch aperture.

May 4th 2019,

A new AR has arrived with a nice sunspot in tow. AR2740. Lots of limb activity coming with it. Presented in HA, WL & CaK in several scales.

May 5th 2019

AR2740 continues with its visible sunspot and some lovely prominences at the limb. Limited weather today, so I only managed a single capture at small scale.

May 6th, 2019,

A new sunspot is rotating the limb right now. We will have two sunspots for the next 12 days roughly, if they last. They're rather good spots with both visible umbra & penumbra. AR2740 & likely to be AR2741 designation. Presented in hydrogen alpha & calcium k.

May 7th 2019,

Looking deep into AR2740 in red wavelength. Red allows you to see deeper into the spot and find structures, as there's generally shallow structures and the deeper black core where temperatures are much cooler than the surrounding structure as magnetic fields whirl around it with material flinging all around the lines. Presented in white light for the photosphere, hydrogen alpha & calcium K for the chromosphere from an 8" F21 solar scope. Small scales provided of both AR2740 & AR2741 from an 80mm F21 solar scope.
