Sooooo hows the new eye detect on servo?

I tried with mine and it seems good, I mean its my first mirroless camera so everything has been pretty good for me with the camera.

Those of you who updated, have you tried it yet?

Huge improvement IMO. The face recognition works better and the Eye AF is a lot more consistent. Eye AF still only works when in close proximity of the subject in contrast to Sony Eye Af.

good to know. I have no experience with the sonys eye af but i do acknowledge that it is the top performing eye af out there. I honestly don't think i am using it much in the R or even at all but it's nice to know that the feature is there and it works well. I have just started to get faster at setting my focus point manually to where need it with the touch and drag. I am not used to using my back screen as a functional feature in a camera since i still use my 5d2 and 5d3 heavily. Everytime i touch the screen on the R i get reminded that "oh yeah, its a touch screen" haha

Doesn't look like the cat was impressed with the camera to phone to net process!

This was a first for me. I’m trying to document all the food on this trip, not to annoy people with on here or IG (ok a tiny bit of that) but mostly to have notes for the return trip in December (and possibly next June...). So when the sun had set when my roasted chicken came out for dinner two nights ago, I had to use my phone as an off-camera light. Worked prett well, I think. Roasted chicken with green papaya, broccolini, and a mango rice cake from Manta at the Mauna Kea resort. Unprocessed except for cropping.

And for something completely different, this is just after the sun disappeared at Huggo’s on the Rocks in Kona. This one is highly processed to go for trying to recreate the feeling while there. I skipped the actual sunset because the view was crowded with people shooting it. After I took this, someone took his phone and tried to take this exact shot as soon as I sat down. I suppose I should be flattered.

Wow, just received my R last night and I've been trying to rap my head around all the new stuff. I do like being able to see the resulting picture before I release the shutter. I think I'm going to like this camera.
A lot of new stuff to learn so I haven't got any pictures to post yet. ;-)a

Hey A1 Do this go to creative live web site and click on the class for the Canon EOS R that will be a fast track for learning the camera..
