It is more than a little unsettling to shoot a fallen tree while his numerous brothers and sisters grow at the edge of the more than 100 m high and unstable cliffs right behind you, in particular when it is pretty dark and every unexpected noise makes you jump.

I am visiting Germany’s Rügen island 2 to 3 times per year, and it never fails to impress me. Earmarked this location as promising during a day hike and came back next morning, getting up at 3 am and hiking through a dark forest and along a nearly equally dark and very stony beach for an hour. Still not sure if photography is a wonder or a curse! ;-)a
