Then Rhody posted a shot of the kind that I just love so I thought "right, that settles it". So I didn't think I would play this week as I had no idea what to do. Then I remembered a really cool shot that I'd seen ages ago on flickr and decided to shoot that. However, I needed a very specific surface and I couldn't find it. Online, yes, but there wasn't enough time left. So tonight I decided to go back to some old tricks instead. Boring, but they're dots and diagonals of a kind... By the way, Terry, it took me a moment to realise your object is made up of burnt matches! Did you make the shape especially for the picture? Close up, they're not just dots. Image hosted by forum (974695) © OhLook [SHARE LINK] The mother moth chose the location poorly. There's nothing there for larvae to eat, just paint. The same thing happened in an earlier year, on the same part of the house. Those eggs hatched and the larvae dispersed. I don't know where they went.
