I've only been active on this site for the last two weeks, but I've already noticed that straying too far from the original photo isn't generally appreciated. I'm going to do it anyway. Here are some colorful closeups of three old trucks.

Note: the EXIF info for my recent images shows "Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS". I'm actually shooting an FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS lens. The POTN gear database needs to be updated.

I totally agree with Jeffrey in that you did not stray. You stayed right on topic!

Great photos!

I completed a 100+ image project last month divided by Moments, Places and People. It's a narrative about Lincoln County, Nevada. I had these few cars in it but had several railroad cars too. I'd enjoy feedback. It's at https://lincolncountygallery.com (external link)

Love that top truck.
The rear axle still attached to tailshaft looks quite whimsical.

I like your narrative. Beautiful photos.
Love the landscapes and some of those skies, moody and not so.
Took a while to load at this end but we don't have superfast internet.

does this suit the criteria?
We found it in the bush when working on a job.
It was actually handy as we put our gear in and trundled it back to the vehicle

Recently visited the island of Hawaii, had I more time, I could flood this thread. Seems it is a paradise for abandoned and discarded vehicles as well as tourists...

LOL - many memories
Yes seemed to be the norm in some areas we went.
Great place though and by the smile(s) on your wife I could see the pleasure showing

You should start a thread for abandoned and discarded tourists!

Actually judging by some of the erratic driving I saw amongst some tourists its a wonder there weren't more abandoned vehicles.
But it's getting a bit like that here now :p

Now that's an interesting looking place to poke around in.
When I read your note as I scrolled up the page and before I saw the FJ, I pictured an old relic under a tree.
Relieved to see the photo.
