Thanks for the correction. I hadn’t thought to check Twitter. Just did. Someone in their marketing really kicked the hornets nest by listing only the 1TB plan price. Unless they were contemplating phasing out the base package it looks like a needless error by someone at Adobe.

I actually couldnt find the post on twitter myself. Should have mentioned that. I just read it elsewhere and repeated it which might be adding to the misinformation:D

This ridiculous/needless Adobe pricing scandal really highlights how untrustworthy SAR and Petapixel are. They should fully retract their fake news and post the corrected story, but all they do is add a little correction at the bottom of their original post.

I still find myself looking at SAR often even though I really dislike the site. Mostly when I have a moment of boredom. They just don’t seem to get anything correct. SR5 announcements are like an hour before the news is in the public domain. Everything else is normally wrong it seems or they sneakily edit previous posts and then say “look we were right”

Distasteful site.
'They just don’t seem to get anything correct.'
And way too many times they are wrong.
Quit going there before Christmas this last year.
Only way I know is when I get the pre-order available e-mail from
Adorama.
Better that way, I'm not disappointed.

SAR & Petapixel are reporting that Adobe has bumped the LR/PS plan up to $20/month, but when I check Adobe’s pricing plans they’re still listing the $9.99/month plan. However, per Adobe’s message to Petapixel they are indeed considering this change. It all seems a bit ominous to me and I may have to rethink my attachment to Adobe. I need to get busy trying to learn Affinity Photo or other alternative.

I could stomach a keep-up-with-inflation price bump, but going from $10 to $20/month all at once is absolute crap. And how long will the current $10/month pricing remain effective? Just feels like waiting for the hammer to fall.

The link: https://petapixel.com …ite-cheapest-is-20-month/ (external link)

All I'll say is there are other ways to obtain the software that people seem to forget :p

Supposedly this new pricing is just for new members and existing members will keep their current pricing.

It’s not even that, it’s just click bait nonsense by petapixel repeated by SAR

Don't worry, I'm not particularly fond of them either. Theres been posts they've done that have actually made it seem really one sided and in favor of Sony then when you look into the news, it's a complete different story.

All these rumor sites mainly get their info from Nokishita and repost as their own and a lot of these reliable sources are probably just made up. I feel like a lot of the spammy commenters that frequent PetaPixel also frequent SAR.

But SAR just broke some news might be true (but probably not), from a source that could be trustworthy, about a new body that might be the new a6500, maybe rx10, or quite possibly a5...maybe in May... it's 50%ish possible that it might probably be nothing, but its 100% possible that he gets some affiliate clicks!

Just did a 5 day river trip in prolly the most remote area in the lower 48.....SW Idaho, Jarbidge/Bruneau river canyons. Exactly 100 miles, 5 days, 4 nights out of our kayaks. Amazing scenery to say the least.

VERY dark out there at night. I got up to pee and saw the MW. I have no idea how to do these shots. I put on the 12mm @ f/2, focused to infinity, and pointed it in the direction I thought I should. This is a stitched pano.

Probably an RX100 model, they seem to be on a one year release window out of none being released in 2017.

I've been waiting on the mini a9/a7000 or whatever they will call it to compliment my a7R3. I just decided to see what I get an a9 for with it being discounted $1000 already. $3150 final price on brand new, US camera. Couldn't pass the heavy discount.

Adobe have confirmed on Twitter that the cheaper option is still going to be available and also that if you are already on the plan it won’t change. I can’t see them doubling the price as there would be mass exodus

It was always the scary thing about moving to CC. They get us all into it and we know our work flow and how to use it and the price goes up.
