I think this is without a doubt my favorite down time image from the trip to CA...I finally had interesting and good light at the Golden Gate Bridge...the fog layer was there, so its unique in that the TOPS of the clouds are lit up but the bottoms are more purple and darker...and that meant the bridge was not lit up...but I still like it...got wet for this one too...second time on the trip!

Outstanding Travis. Composition is really strong. This is a familiar view, but your work here stands out amongst the many I’ve seen. I especially like the capture of the water. You got some amazing clouds that evening. Beautiful image.

Was this just a single 2 sec exposure or did you use SR app?

Beautiful shot Travis. Perfect wave motion in the foreground.

GAS got me! I bounced back and forth between this and the 135gm. This affords me a little room compared to the 135 focal length. I can't wait to get out and use it!

I bet he chose the A7Rii for the SR.

Right?! Haha Thanks! This thing is a BEAST! It's only a few ounces more than my Canon 70-200 2.8L II but it's stubby length makes it feel awkward to hand hold.

I was just out photographing around Auckland CBD and noticed the stars were just so clear and visible.
For giggles I put on the Batis 18mm and aimed toward where I knew the milky way would be to see if anything would come out.
Its really faint, but you can see the milky way rising. This is right above New Zealand's largest city and you can still see it ! You can see the Sky Tower and the harbour bridge in the bottom right hand corner. This is right in the centre of the city.

Samyang 45 f1.8 looks cool. Wish it were a bit wider :-) but if it renders better than the FE 50 id be game as a compact medium lens.
