Central New Mexico sunset.

Pretty sunset, fotoi...I especially like the effect, and colors of the clouds.

I have attempted to shoot the Golden Gate Bridge at sunset more times than I can count...finally got one I am happy with.

Yeah, pretty stoked about it...given the number of shutouts trying to photograph that bridge...or that whole area...Thanks!

Not much C&C needed. My only quibble are the background trees, I may have cropped them. But I can see why one might want them in the image too. Nice photo.

I don't mind the trees, and I love the concept of rendering a sunset background OOF...but when you do that you need to make sure, at least IMO, that the foreground subject is clear, sharp and prominent...I am left wondering which of these flowers or almost flower is your subject, some are in focus, most are not, and the ones that are in focus seem to be facing away...just something that I think about when shooting images like this, make the subject clear and prominent in the frame.

First of all thanks :)

since the flowers were scattered and not in a "bouquet" (or close together) should I have used a smaller aperture?

I would say find one that sticks out or presents itself to suit the composition, and focus on that one, and then let the rest fall out of focus. It helps create a clear subject.
