wekas new adventures ……… got a phone call from a friend who is real-estate agent …….. you want to be at such and such at 12pm to shoot a property for me …… ummm ok (1hrs notice)

Turn up, here are the keys, return when finished ……. no instructions except we need 20 photos.

Gear used 1D + 16-35mm ….. Godox AD200 flash.

The photos they were happy with, me not so much. Flash didn't come out right think it needed better diffuser rather than bare roundhead. I didn't tripod nor did I do multiple exposures. Harsh light and shadows as well as room lights didn't make it easy. Most of the interiors we a stop, stop and half under exposed.

Total of 70 photos and they picked 19. Edited all the photos full size and web, just about to send then realised I hadn't set white balance so ceilings had colour cast …… redid

I did ok for first attempt, needed to watch more youtube clips because it is a art balancing the light in doors but there are a couple of ways to do it. Many just HDR 3 photos.

PS still seriously looking at the EOS R as my next camera. I need to reduce the weight, have an articulated touch screen and smartphone connectivity ……….. yep im getting old :(

What an incredible place! Spent two days and two nights on Milford Road / Sound, got lucky with the weather (doesn't show in this picture), saw dolphins, enjoyed hikes, beautiful sights of snow capped mountains, Milky Way and beautiful and quiet sunrise. I didn't want to leave!

Thanks :-) It's a great lens to play with!

And each new thing I try helps me learn the G9!
