Harry, great background in both. Considering shooting through a window, detail is good, poses are nice. I do not know how much you do in post production but IMO you need a little more midrange level to the darker side on the hummers.

Thank you, I appreciate your comments, I'll go back into lightroom and see if I can do that. Once again, thank you!

Harry

Still raining so I shot these two through the window, had to take a few raindrops out in lightroom plus work some of the noise out. Looks like I really need to get a tripod and gimbal head. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Harry

Very nice shots Harry, even with having to shoot thru the window.

As far as a tripod and gimbal head...just be sure you get a sturdy, heavy duty tripod that is solid and can handle a big telephoto lens. I use an older model Gitzo carbon 6X Gt3532LS that is rated for 55 pounds. I've been very pleased with mine. So many of the heavy duty models will do the job really well. My gimbal head is a Wimberley WH-200 gimbal head and I have zero complaints. Again, there are many excellent gimbal heads on the market today, and you really have to do some research to decide just what you want.
