hi guys, i have a quick buffer question,,,,ok long story short i normally shoot with a fast sony 100mbs card, anyways it was full and i didnt have time to format before an event so i popeed in a slow class 10 old card, i was happly shooting away in single fire mode then the action got more heavy and i turned to med burst mode,
i could see my bursts taking time to wtrite to the card which i never see with the sony card,
now i am editing the photos i see i am missing some of the photos i know i took,,,, if the biffer was full and i kept firing would the new photos taken while buffer was writing be deleted or not saved at all??
its a mysery why i am missing some photos i knew i took, i know i had focus and flash fired but the photos are not on the card,,,, could a slow card cause this issue,,,, i am stumped and thats my only answer.,, any thoughts

I have not had them disappear that I know of...but I do find that sometimes they get labeled out of order when I sort based on capture time...they will be jumbled up and not in the right order...

Great vids Charlie/Eddie.

You guys really make me want to take video more seriously. Just so many mental blocks around it. I am shooting random clips with the Osmo for documentary purposes, but never do anything creative with them.

same...I actually had a friend of mine shooting a ton of B roll type stuff for me in CA in preparation for launching a new website/channel....I learned how to edit a little more of it in PS too...

Traditional LE...12 stops, FH 10 and 2 stop ND, 280 Seconds. I only really shot two compositions in the hour I had...I am still dealing with the skeeter bites and this was shot 19 days ago...

Weather has sucked so I haven't had a chance to use the 24GM much. We got a little reprieve from the rain today (it will be back tomorrow) so we spent a little time outside.

Anyway, shot some product modeling stuff for my wife's IG and Charlotte was dressed up....Carson wanted to play along so busted out a woody costume lol.

I like the way the 24GM renders for portraits/documentary:

Thanks Carlo. If you have an iPad powerful enough (or an iPhone) I highly recommend giving Lumafusion a try. It’s only £20 and it’s what I’ve edited all my videos on. I personally find it easier editing to music so I pick the track first then do the cuts on the breaks. You will be surprised how quickly the random clips start to form an interesting video. I’m still a total novice but it’s quick to pick up and highly rewarding

I have an iPad 2 lol...which I hid a couple years back because the kids were treating it like a crack addiction

Turn on screen time, problem solved.

My kids school mandates an iPad, so it can get out of hand real fast.

The multiplayer games are super popular, so they value their screen time and wifi a lot ;-)a

Apple parental controls are top notch.

Yeah even with screen time it caused too much drama with 3 and 4 year old kids. They fight over it, and throw fits when their time runs out, and its basically all they wanted to do....and if they see me using it for myself, they turn into little crack addicts about it. Plus all they do is watch garbage YouTube videos and I couldn't go to target without drama over some stupid toy they wanted so I just cut it off completely. Now they spend more time playing outdoors, drawing/painting/coloring, reading, and actually playing together.

No judgement from me towards those who allow their kids to use mobile devices...it just didnt work out for us. I did buy a bunch of Nintendo switches and we have a lot of fun playing Mario kart, Mario party, and smash bros together so not totally against devices!

I am right there with you...I bought an ipad for my wife, because she won't use her laptop...and she surfs too much on the phone and it kills her eyes...well my daughter uses it more and has filled it up with a ton of crap apps...and is like a junkie for it...so I cut it off...I really try to limit her to how much she can use it...a little at a time, so tired of garbage youtube videos making them think they need all these toys...

I gotta have my devices for a longer drive, kids yelling in the can drive you mad. Other than that, the young one, I simply take it away, mid show or whatever, she doesnt even protest anymore :-P. She might have an hour device time? it's the older kids that try to abuse it, and I know about their screen time workarounds, but if you're not tech savvy enough, it's tough to work around. If I sense a workaround, I turn off the wifi and it's over :-D

without their devices, drawing and playing outside is tops

if you add your wife and child to the family settings, it's really beneficial. You can block silly apps, I do it all the time. You can also share apps, my son has lumafusion for his video projects at school. They all share minecraft ;-)a

screen time is integrated up to my watch, super easy and convenient to control their requests. If they decide to badger me with non stop requests, I simply shut off their wifi ;-)a
