Hey Matt...thanks for the welcome. I actually owned a 1DX some years back (had issues with it, and finally sold it). and so I am pretty familiar with my new camera. So far this new one seems to be running great. Any problems I have, are all human error. :-) I really think this is one spectacular camera, but I also love my 7DII. I wore my first 7D II out, and Canon replaced it, so I now have two cameras that I really enjoy, and have full confidence in. I debated for well over a year, of jumping ship, and going to the Sony A9. For an old geezer like me, the learning curve was huge (too much for me), and I had many years worth of Canon lenses that I did not want to part with. I'm now quite satisfied with the decision I finally made to stay with Canon.

I spent hours taking photos of a pair of Osprey nest building. Lot's of blue sky as a background to the striking feather patterns of the birds. As I was leaving in the afternoon the smoke from the previous few days hazard reduction burning provided the complete opposite as far as colours. Almost walked past it. Almost.
